Music and Dance were essential elements in the development
of Latin American culture. The history of Latin America is full of unpleasant occurences during the colonization time period.
Sometimes music and dance were the only pieces of culture African slaves or Indigenous natives could maintain and turn to
when times were bad. The ancient dances that passed through the generations were fusions of Indigenous, European and African
forms. The fusion that took place was not only musical, but racial as well; the coming together of all that lived and shared
Latin America is known today as culturalization. Although most Latin American culture disappeared as the years passed - Nothing
could stop the DANCE!!
